Intentionally Built
The campus expansion offers a unique opportunity for our Cornerstone Construction Training students to have a 'live' construction environment to experience in action. Additionally, our general contractor, Model Group, is helping leverage this project to enlist and introduce more subcontractors to the training program. We are excited to have great partners like Sure Mechanical and A&A Wall Sytems use historic graduates of Cornerstone Construction to build this project. Additional contractors on this job like King's Electric and Ohio Demolition have also signed on to hire graduates from our program!
Through this expansion, we are able to provide work for prior graduates, learning opportunities for current clients, while building capacity for future clients.

Groundbreaking Celebration
April 2nd was a day filled with joy, excitement, and hope as we celebrated officially breaking ground on our campus expansion! The expansion, a mix of new construction and rehabilitation of existing buildings, will add 23,834 square feet to the existing campus, amplifying and adding to the education, asset-building, and career-training opportunities available to the community!
Through this expansion, we are able to provide work for prior graduates, learning opportunities for current clients, while building capacity for future clients.

ChangingGears Building
Crews are actively installing the structural steel for the new 8,000 square foot ChangingGears building. Simultaneously, they are repairing brick and installing new block windows into the Cornerstone Construction Building. Check out the progress from April 27th to May 15th. Raise the Roof!
Model Group is keeping our project running on time and on budget! The roof is going up on the ChangingGears building and interior work is continuing in Cornerstone's new home. Stormwater retention is complete and the project rolls on!
August 2021
ChangingGears Building - Inside Taking Shape!
With the exterior complete, the crews are finishing up the interior and site work on the Changing Gears building. The site is rapidly progressing towards the late September certificate of occupancy. At that time Changing Gears will install equipment, set up offices, and transition fully out of their old building.
